Crossville Chronicle obit Published November 1, 2005 Donald P. Findley Sept. 6, 1929 - Oct. 10, 2005 Donald Pershing Findley, 76, of Crossville, passed away Oct. 10, 2005. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 13 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Rick McAbee officiating. Interment was in Bat Town Cemetery. Mr. Findley was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Jamestown, TN, the son of Ethel (Hood) and Merdia L. Findley. He was a welder for Tennessee Valley Authority and of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include his daughters, Michelle (Findley) Barnacz, Barbara Norris, Mary Hassler and Julie Thomas, all of Crossville; sons, James D. Findley of Crossville and Adam L. Findley of Fort Carson, CO; brothers, Doug Findley, Darold Findley and Terry Findley, all of Crab Orchard; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Findley; and sisters, Lily Findley and Lulu Findley. Pallbearers were Clay Norris, Chris Findley, Donnie Hassler, Josh Barnacz, Johnny Hassler and Dustin Findley. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
