    3. Crossville Chronicle obit Published November 8, 2005 James D. Turner Sept. 9, 1945 - Oct. 30, 2005 James Dallas Turner, 60, of Cookeville, passed away Oct. 30, 2005. Funeral services were conducted Nov. 2 from the Clarkrange chapel of Jennings Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Wattenbarger officiating. Burial was in Campground Cemetery in Clarkrange. Mr. Turner was born Sept. 9, 1945 in the Geniss community, the son of John Turner and Billie (Wattenbarger) Henderson. He was self-employed in construction. Survivors include his wife, Helen Turner of Cookeville; mother, Billie (Wattenbarger) Henderson of the Rinnie community; stepdaughter, Amy Travis of Rickman; grandchildren, James Dallas Turner III and Emiley Turner of Chattanooga; step-grandchildren, Briar Travis, Gracie Travis and Tucker Travis, all of Rickman; special friend, Harold Lee of Atlanta, GA; and mother- and father-in-law, Gerlene Winningham and Milford Winningham of Monroe, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, John Turner; son, James Dallas "Jamie" Turner II; and daughter, Jennifer Leann Turner. Pallbearers were Bobby Winningham, Harold Lee, Denny Henderson, Leslie Wattenbarger, Bill Bilbrey, Matt Travis and Joey Burton. Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements.
