PARKER CITY - Carl Wright, 84, Parker City resident, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2006. He was born in Fentress Co., Tennessee on June 19, 1921 to the late Dillard and Roenna (Reynolds) Wright. Carl was a WWII Army Veteran and was retired from Brodericks. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Colleen (McGhee) Wright; son, Jerry Ray Wright (wife: Paula) Parker City; four grandchildren, Joellen Early (husband: Dwight) New Lisbon, Jerry Ray Wright II, Parker City, Jason Randall Wright (wife: Missy) Parker City, Jessica Wright, Parker City; five great-grandchildren, Jerry and Jodi Munday, Jesse, Zachary, and Olivia Wright; three step-great-grandchildren, George, Brooke, and Colby Early. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Thornburg Funeral Home, SR 32 East, Parker City, with Pastor Johnny Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
