    1. Re: [TNFENTRE-L] Caleb Reagan
    2. Hi JW, No I can not tell you for sure that Caleb was the son of Peter & Nancy. Know the census was wrong and that sometimes they were only 3 or 4 years older in 10 years (grin). Most researchers have Caleb as Peter Jrs. son even 20 years ago my daughter had a professional researcher checking and he came back that Caleb was b. in 1799 and was the son of Peter. Just assumed since they seemed to be very honest people that they gave their correct age as Peter, Wm. John and the others had. The only one that I saw was different was Elizabeth and that was in her later years. Have not found Caleb in the 1850 census as of yet, so could not compare. I have also seen Joel as married to Nancy Gwinn, but in the census it show Rachel. And have to assume that is Joel's widow. We are not sure if Peter had more children as he is not in the 1800 or 1810 census for TN or NC, that is unless I have missed it. Like you have always put Caleb's birth year as 1801 and I am open to any suggestion to find out the facts the best we can. Sure would be nice if we could find some wills for our family. I will go back into the census records and see if I have overlooked anything. Only tried 2 different spellings so will try some others maybe we will get lucky. Pat
