Milly I spent about an hour in the court house today trying to find a divorce decree for Lemuel Delk and Permelia Delk. I'm sorry to say that I found nothing. I looked in both the register's office, which would show recorded decrees and in the circuit court clerk's office, which has court dockett's, minutes, and other old records. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go through more than a couple of the most likely books that are there, and there is a room full. The person in the office asked whether I was sure that they divorced in Tennessee. I told her I was not. Do you know?
