    3. Jenny, No one seems to know who Geo. W. Smith's parents or siblings were. As far as I know, there were no Samuels or Henrys among his descendants. I know it was common practice to name children after older relatives. Have you checked out this website: RootsWeb'sWorldConnectProject: York's Fentress County, Tennessee? He has quite a large data base of folks from Fentress Co.
