McDonald Feb. 16, 1940 - July 25, 2005 Mary Geraldine “Jerry” (Threet) McDonald, 65, Anderson, died July 25, 2005, at Community Hospital Anderson after a sudden illness. She was born Feb. 16, 1940, in Twinton, Tenn., and resided in Anderson. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Nicholson File, Anderson University and Anderson Community Schools. She was a member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church since 1978. She is survived by her husband, Cecil McDonald, whom she married Dec. 22, 1956; two children, Bryant and wife Sheryl McDonald of Anderson, and Brenda and husband Dennis Rodgers of Anderson; a sister, Anita Melton of Anderson; four grandchildren, Joshua and wife Erica McDonald of Riverview, Fla., Michael McDonald of Bloomington, Donita and husband Jason Bragg of Chesterfield, and Stefani Rodgers of Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb McDonald, Chase McDonald and Cheyanne Bragg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Auda Mae (Sells) Threet; four brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Bill Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Richland Township Cemetery.
