    1. Re: [TNFENTRE-L] parents of Sara (Delk) Williams
    2. Willie, Fabian and Others I beleive this Sarah Delk is the d/o Ellis Delk and Nancy Patton, I never knew what happened to her, but based on the following I think she is Ellis and Nancy Patton Delk's daughter. In the 1880 census 8th dist. # 80 Ellis Delk 24 Nancy 21 Ruthford 2 (m) Sarah 9/12 b. Sept. 1879 Jane Anderson 20 servant. 1900 8th dist # 176 James William b. May 1878 (m. 2 yrs) Sarah (wife) b. Sept. 1880 " Trena ? dau 1 b. May 1899 1920 (didn't get the dist. probley # 2) #88 Marvin Williams 41 _______ wife 39 Paul son 16 Palmer " 13 Ina dau. 11 Ellis son 6 Infant (m) 3 Infant (f) 11/12 1930 2nd dist. #33 J. M. Williams 51 m. at age 20 farmer Sarah J 49 ' " " 17 Palmer (s) 24 " " " 21 Ellis (s) 17 J. M. (s) 14 Samorie? dau 10 Billie (s) 7 Carrie Lee Spurling g-dau. 4 9/12 N. A. Delk mit-in-law 74 wd. b. TN fat. b. N. C. mot. b. TN. Sherwood Delk married Jane Cobb, he died 1903 and she died in 1916, therefore, this Sarah Delk Williams could not be their daughter, since the mother in law is living with the Williams household in 1930. Nancy Ann Patton Delk died in 1933. There is a reading for James Marvin Williams in Gary Norris cemetery book, but I do not find one for Sarah Williams, however James Marvin died in 1931 and she may have remarried. I haven't checked that far. Maybe someone else can share a bit of information. Wilma

    3. Wilma, Yes, what you suggest must be right, from the evidence you give. I was just going on what I had in my database, which wasn't enough information.
