I have not yet updated my file with the new information, but you can have a look at her parents lineage at: http://www.doles.org/cgi-doles/gedview/index.cgi?a=i&Id=105521 Note: I have her parents listed as Jacob Samuel Reagan & Elizabeth Pennycuff. Elizabeth's surname is an anglicized form of her father's Johannes Bennikof or Bennighof. It is seldom to see my Pennycuff surname in a query so I must weigh in with my information. I have done extensive research on the Pennycuff (Penticuff, etc) family. Regarding Elizabeth Pennycuff, (born about 1805 probably in Wayne Co., KY) wife of Jacob Samuel Reagan, her parents were Johannes Pennycuff AKA John Bennikof and Jane Smith who were married Dec 14, 1798 in Greene County, TN. The father of Johannes was Johan Phillip Benninghoff and that is the last generation where the original German form of the name appears. I have the Benninghoff family tree to about 1614 in Germany. From about 1770 to 1807, the Benninghoff family was migrating from Philadelphia to Frederick Co., MD, thru the Shenandoah valley of VA, into eastern TN, thru the Cumberland gap into Wayne County, KY. Johannes was born Jun 23, 1772 in Middletown, MD. The name became Anglicized especially during the years they were slowing moving thru VA. Johannes and Jane had 10 children, about half of whom were born in Wayne Co, and the younger ones born in Overton, later Fentress Co where the family settled by 1814. By 1800, the spelling was exclusively Pennycuff and remained so until the form Penticuff began to appear in the Civil War era. I have about 6 pages on the descendants of Elizabeth and Jacob Samuel Reagan. I would like to have more as I am trying to create a full list of descendants of any Pennycuff. There was only one immigrant family and all Pennycuffs, however spelled or misspelled are related. I hope this helps. John Pennycuff Cincinnati
