JAMES MONROE EVANS Married SARAH ELIZABETH HATFIELD (ca1815 TN-ca 1906 IL) daughter of John HATFIELD & Mary CRAIG, about 1835 - possibly in Tennessee. Hi Milly, To see the actual death certificates, you have to sign up at the Beta site. Originally, this was to get people to do transcriptions. You can see the partial transcription of the certificates without the sign-in but they are often incomplete. At least this is how it works in Texas. The once-prominent Blue Star Flag that hung in windows in wartime is making a comeback. Looking for a picture of Electa Adinah (Hancock) Bertram, wife of Samuel Adkins "Sam A" Bertram. She was called "Telie" or "Teal" most of her life. Sam A, a native of Wayne Co., KY, was a very respected teacher in Fentress and Morgan (TN) Counties, school principal in Sunbright, Morgan Co., TN, and served as Mayor for the town of Oneida, Scott Co., Tennessee in 1927-1929). The East Fork of Obey River makes a loooong trip across Fentress County, and there were BEATYS scattered all along the way.
