Is she any relation to Martha Robbins (nee Tompkins)? I can't remember Martha's husband's name, but they are buried at Fellowship Baptist Church in Armathwaite -- Martha's house was directly across the street. She was my great-grandfather's sister; he was Edward Tompkins. Edward Tompkins and his wife, Maudie Bell (Hull), raised my father, Charles Bridges. Just wondered if Rachel was any relation..... On the bottom of this picture was hand-written (no date); Horace Bilbrey and Sarah Jackson Bilbrey. Again; if I am correct; Horace is the son of Landon Bilbrey and Susannah Copeland. I have an entire box of these type pictures and I am not sure how long it will take me to scan them in and edit them, but as I do; would you like me to email them to you? As of present, I have found no connection to these families and my lines, but you never know. I just wanted to share them because there are some really nice and old pictures in this group. I believe the oldest picture is dated for 1874… More to come and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Travis W. Peek twpeek@citlink.net

Today, the database surpassed 294,000 names. Everyday it gets better because of additions and corrections that you contribute. I have a lot of exciting things happening in my life. I turn 67 years old on December 30th and then I retire from working for Siemens on January 7, 2011. This will allow me to devote more time toward building and improving the database. The goal continues to be "To gather and preserve the genealogies and descendancies of anyone connected to Fentress, Overton and Pickett counties, TN." Please let me know how I can help you. If you would like a report on all who descend from one of your ancestors, a listing of everyone buried in a particular cemetery, or any other report that you can conceive -- just let me know and I will try to provide. I hope you have all enjoyed a Merry Christmas and will enjoy a Happy New Year.
