It is a noncupetive will of William Baker. The witnesses were Andrew Davis and John Mitchell, stating William Baker died at or near New Orleans in the service of the United States, on 21 Jan 1815. His gun was to be brought back and given to his brother, Robert Baker. All his property should be given to his mother, Ann Baker. Upon the death of his mother the property should be divided between his two brothers Robert and James Baker. This will was registered in Montgomery Co., and I am wondering if this is the same William Baker that owned land on Leatherwood Fork of Yellow Creek, as this land was near the Montgomery Co. line and if James might be William James Baker. Also mentioned in administrators notes were James Baker, John Taggart and John P. Vaughn. My William James Baker, b. abt 1808-10. and married Nancy Burgess in 1832 in Dickson Co.
