John Ward is reported to be the Fore Father of Edward Hatcher (2) of that name who owns lands on Tuckahoe Creek in Henrico Co. Va. Notes the Wards families end up in Dickson, Humphreys and Williamson Counties as cousin to the Hatcher families and other allied families 1642 Sept: Capt. Eliza. & Mary Wallis, daus of James dec’d 1690 granted to Joseph Johnson 1642, who assigned to Jno Banister 1645 … CPv2 Notes this is Joseph Johnson and his wife Margaret of Archers Hope who owns lands by Gabriel Holland and John Johnson Yeoman of Archers Hope. Gabriel Hollands Grandson Michael Holland married to a John Merriman ( Merryman) descendant whose lands were on the Weyanoke River also where lands owned by Henry Rowen. and Thomas Wheeler Gabriel Hollands and his wife's children are in Nansemond County Va. and in Maryland. Michael Holland and his wife ? Merriman take up residence on Tuckahoe Creek in St. Pauls and St. Peters Parish. Michael Holland is awarded lands in Amelia County on Saylors Creek which changes into Prince Edward County. Saylors Creek is where we find Ashley Johnson, Gideon Johnson, Jesse Johnson and a Charles Johnson. Gideon Johnson of Saylors Creek moved into lands that where in Granville County NC. His son is in Rockingham Co. NC by 1790 Era and then into Williamson Co. Tn and which leads us to Mary Holland and her family in Dickson and Humphreys Co. Tn. Henry Rowen was first married to Alice who re married one John Watson and begat Sarah Watson who married Michael Johnson who died on Tuckahoe Creek in 1718 his family will end up in Williamson County Tn and the matching Johnson DNA in Dickson and Humphreys Co. Notes: This is the Joseph Johnson of Archer’s hope census in 1624 and who is the land owner of lands on Bickers- Bikers and on the Weynoke River and in Martin’s Brandon. It appears his lands are the dividing lines when several Parish lines are drawn up.
