I am sorry Rick, but I don't have a Carolyn Hudson or a William Baker. My husand's Hudson family was Betty (Elizabeth) Hudson who married William Hurt. Her family seems to have come into the area after the Am. Rev. This couple was married in Mecklenburg County, VA in 1790 and they were in Tennessee after that. I believe William Hurt died prior to 1830's census as Betty Hudson is listed in that one without a husband. Betty Hudson's parents were John Hudson/Frances or Frankey Camp. I know John Hudson died in Mecklenburg County in 1838, but his wife outlived him and I don't know where she died. I think they did not go to Tennessee. Judy, this is also interesting. William Baker and Carolyn Hudson had a daughter named Jane Baker who married Benjamin Hurt. Benjamin and Jane were my wife's great grandparents. They were in Dickson Co., TN. Benjamin was the son of Charles Hurt (Humphreys Co.) who was the son of William Hurt. We show William as being born in Virginia about 1810. I'm sure this isn't the same William but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some connection. Thanks for your reply. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jkarthur@aol.com> To: <tndickso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 24, 2007 8:36 AM Subject: [TNDICKSO] Hudson/Baker >I am sorry Rick, but I don't have a Carolyn Hudson or a William Baker.
