I will check this out right away.. hopefully I can find Cheatham co in a searchable TN site........There is a published genealogy for the Jarretts that I won.. but for some reason there was a mix up in the Jarrets of this particular time and place so there has been a lot of confusion.... but they are in my grandmothers lineage through her parents in Texas. And it is a J. Jarret Gist that is where the problem starts and no one has been able to solve despite two carefully searched books...I belong to Society of these persons and they will publish the results with great interest when and if we finally solve it.. orignally they were first found in White county tn.. but after that records for this family disappear until a few mentions in Texas after they immigrated.... Leonora, Half of Dickson, Hickman, and Perry Co. TN migrated to Ripley Co MO. If you have missing relatives I'd check there. There are some Jarretts there. If you send me some more info I would be glad to do some look ups for you.
