Mary Jarrett married my grandfathers brother Jeremiah V. Mitchell in Hardeman or Henry county... tho Jeremiah was from Dickson.......I am especially interested in the Jarrets as we also have a connnection through the Gist family.. have books on both.....the missing link in an otherwise well filled out line is a J. Jarret Gist from White county TN in earlist 1800's... Jarret Gist married a Lucinda--------. and moved to Texas.......a book states that J. Jarret was named after family members of the Jarret family.. and also named one of his sons that....unfortunately for us.. we cant document that tho it is in the published book... the connection to these two families is obvious its just that we havent the documents and have been unable to locate family members that might have them...there is a Gist Quarterly magazine that we all receive and they are also anxious to find information on this line as they publish ONLY documented information... we have verbal but no papers! Jarret and Gist connect that is broken here has been searched by many... but we hope that the way things change everyday... no records etc will surface and sources so we can charge ahead again.
