I am a quilter and I tell you that the best way to store quilts is in a COTTON pillow case if you have one or wrapped in l00% cotton cloth--no plastic--no sealing--no dry cleaning. If you think they need washing try a corner to see if the colors are color fast. Quilters these day wash their material before they ever go in a quilt. If you don't use them often take them out once a year or so and refol d them. Good luck. Mary
