At the Appamattox Court House I bought a book that contained the list names of the 'parolees' that surrendered there under Lee's command at the Appomattox Court House. Oh, did you know that there were two towns? The one of fame is Appomattox Court House (yup, that is the name of the TOWN)and down the road is the town Appomattox. The list is detailed and difficult to search... BUT!!! Notice the BUT!<vbg> If you know the company and the name of your CW ancestor I will try and find them on this parole list. There are gazillion companies, so I have to have the company Too.... Otherwise I would have to look in each company for your man, and that would be just too time consuming... The subject must contain this word: "Parolees" as I dont read all of the emails and you most probably would get deleted! We will see if the purchase was worth my money... Cher
