Sandy... I am not sure about the Wheeling West Virginia... but I was told long time ago.. after and old query where I saw that the Hayes came from KY...and a researcher of those lines, told me they were from West Virginia... but didnt say where....she said. (unforutnately she lost contact) that we should look in Rockcastle Va. I did long ago.. from on old film at the library but there were so many Hays all in the same place there that I dint know where to start as I knew so little about them...according to her,, the Hays weren't in TN all that long as they decided for reasons unknown to go back to W.V,,....this was in very early days of search so I cant give details... but the West VA is right as that searcher that was going to get back to me told me she had information on Hays,,, (so possibly she had other allied lines in the area) .... who knows what happened to her...but should we put a query in W,V and see if anyone interested in these lines would answer???..I will dig through all the old stuff but dont know how much I can find that would be of help.....I just remembered vaguely seeing quite a few Hays all in the same place.. and I think I would have started just after 1850 when we were looking for death of James Hays... Knowing what you do ,YOU, would probably recognize other names in the area if we find it again.... What next????? Lenora
