Dear Van... we had written a long time ago in regards to my query about my grandmother Aramenta Hudson Hays that married William Robert Mitchell in Dickson in 1856... We tried in vain to acertain why she used the middle named Hudson as did her brother... the other children of James w. Hays and Mary Bartee didnt seem to have that as a middle name. unless the census taker just got in a hurry and didnt include it....... Please keep my in mind if you ever find a connection.....the parents of William R. Mitchell were William W. Mitchell who married Arabella ( Norris?) also of TN. We are still working on these families but have never come across a Hudson connection though i know they lived in the area from the census......I also see a name that looks like MacAdoo or Mactee on a document I have .. if that is of any interest to you.....
