Pat- Will give you a brief rundown on my Jones lineage. About 1750 John Jones came to US from Ireland, had three sons John 2, Thomas, and 1 unknown. John Jones 2 ismy gggg grandfather, B 30 June 1784 in No Carolina, moved to Dickson Co. Tn. D 11 Nov 1832. Married to Jane James B 9 Sept 1788, D 18 March 1856 in Graves Co. Ky. She and John2 had 10 Children,(all born in Dickson Co) Thomas Jefferson (known as T.J., My ggg grandfather) B 11 Nov 1813, D 16 May 1903. Josiah B 7 March 1816, James Madiso B 10 Oct 1820, Joshua B 28 March 1817, Martha Patsy B July 16, 1824, Nancy B 5 Dec 1825. Jane B 1827, William B 25 Dec 1819, John Jr. B 27 March 1818, and Arabella B 9 March 1821. I have quite a bit of info about Thomas Jefferson Jones but very limited info about the rest of the children. Let me know if you see any connection. Sorry it took so long to reply. Would you check your 1860, 1870, and 1880 census and see if you can find anything of William Jones that was born 25 Dec 1819. He bought his mothers (Jane James Jones) land in the Turnbull Creek area of Dickson in the very southease corner of Dickson Co.
