Dennis F. Hudson married Martha Ann Southerland on 8 Sept 1861 in Dickson Co. TN. Martha was born 25 Aug 1842; died 12 June 1862; she is the daughter of Alexander Southerland and Julia Ann Wilkins. She died as a result of childbirth, the baby buried with her in the Wilkins family cemetery. This cemetery is almost totally destroyed and it took some searching to find it. Just off Hwy. 47 between Charlotte and White Bluff. Martha's stone is only 1 of 2 still in one piece and readable. From the depressions in the ground, there are probably several graves there.
