    3. Nettye - My gggg grandmother was Jane James, B 9 Sept 1788, D 18 March 1856. She moved from Virginia to Tennessee with her parents. She married John Jones 2 as he was known (his father was also John Jones) and they had 10 children. After Johns death On 11 Nov 1832, she remained in Dickson Co. Tn until March 1850 when she moved to Graves Co. Ky. with her son Thomas Jefferson (better known as T.J. or Jeffie) Jones. She was buried in the Jones Family Cemetary in Graves Co. Have quite a bit of info on Thomas Jefferson but very little on Jane James, his wife. Would appreciate it if you think this is hour lineage. I was born in north Alabama, but spent much of my summers and holidays in Dickson with the Browns and the Smiths. My father was born in the house on the corner of Main Street and Walnut Stree in Dickson, across from the Memorial Building. It was purchased by the city a few years ago when no one was in the position to move there and keep it in the family. In addition to Browns and Smiths, I'm searching Laws, Gilbert, Clardy, White, Stuart, Bibb, and James. I've connected with several cousins on this great list and made a lot of progress with the help of many kind people. Thanks to all. 3. Hello Billy, My great great grand mother was Ida Penelope James, daughter of Dr Aaron James and Elizabeth Holt. The family lived along Tumbling Creek in Humphreys County before moving to Dickson County. Don't know if we have a connection, but I will keep your information on hand. Thanks, Nettye Billy Jones wrote: > Nettye - My gggg grandmother was Jane James, B 9 Sept 1788, D 18 March 1856. She moved from Virginia to Tennessee with her parents.
