When I discovered that some of my nineteenth-century Binkley-Frey relations married into the Dickson Co. Larkins, I was reminded of a family friend from my childhood. I grew up in Chicago, but my parents were natives of TN; and because we belonged to the Church of Christ, we knew many people in Chicago who were originally from the South. One of these was Mrs. Emma Larkins, and I think that I remember that she was originally from Dickson. We moved back to TN in 1959, and I remember that Mrs. Larkins retired to TN, too. I checked the SSDI, and it looks as if a Mrs. Emma Larkins of Dickson b. 1889 died in 1966. I don't know whether this is "my" Mrs. Larkins or not. I do not know her maiden name; I do know that when we knew her in the 1950's she was a widow and was what I would have considered elderly. (Now that I'm past 50 my standards of what is elderly have changed!) I am just curious if there is anyone on the list who knew her or is related. I believe that one of her sons was a Church of Christ preacher. Sara Binkley Tarpley
