Sandy I have long wondered about Catherine in NJ OR PA....when searching all those years ago.. they both pointed towards leaving there and moving towards TN. MANY years ago someone sent me the Catherine you spoke of and , said that they believed this was the one we are now searching for. They also questioned the fact that in TN there was only James W. Hays and Solomon and Catherine.. leaving us to believe there is a whole "rest of family" somewhere there. Somewhere in the chest in the garage is a note to myself regarding fnding Solomon Hays in another county in TN.. not far if I remember correctly from TN in pages of old newpaper articles someone had posted ...It definately said "the Solomon Hays had just built himself a large and grand house in the area"....I think I mentioned it to you but we never followed it up further..I just remember that it proved that he was still alive after we had found him on the Census. and that he was alone according to the article. Other people have written also searching the Hays lines and have said that they though there was a "whole " family somwhere that we havent seen yet. I really ahve to see if I an dig back some years and find that note.....as I know it was shortly after the census where we last saw him.. He was still in TN... And the fact that he was building a large house might mean that he expected other family members to stay with him from time to time... I knokw this is so vague. Wil try to get back soon.. Sprained my first finger yesterday so its hard to type very fast and also cut the small finger on the other hand...some days are just not safe! Lenora
