Sandy.. just thought I would check out the Pennsylvania thing. LONG ago I was told that someone had found that Catherine originally came from a family in PA. Seemed to indicate it in records and she was associated with a Mitchell family at that time.. Unfortunately those records are long gone from OLD computer I had. I was going on a chance that the census might be wrong.. IN my early years of searching for the Hays family.. I had seen James Hays listed as being from Kentucky .. I searched for a long time until a Hays family member told me that he was actually from Virginia.. All depends on who you talk to it seems.. I never forgot that because my grandfather was listed in a record at LDS library as being from Kentucky too. ! Imigaine my surprise when I found him in TN by accident.! Now I know for a fact that the MItchells were always from Tennessee's early roots. But having actually seen them listed incorrectly with my own eyes I take it all with a grain of salt UNTIL I find a document of some kind.. Since we keep coming up with zilch I thought I would try another approach!
