While I would ove any pictures of the area.. I am looking for a cmemetery where my grandfather Jeremiah Van Buren Mitchell was buried there in very early 1920 to 30.. after his death there in the area. He does not seem to be buried in a National Cemetery for his Civil War Service.. He was a local Sheriff for twenty years according to the papers I received.. and was discharged from the Confederate service due to bad feet and legs and other things from war service.. he was in failing health but continued to be of much service to he communnity.. So we feel that he must be bureid there somewhere.. His young wife Mary had died after a few short years of marriage...He did not say in his Petition where she was buried so we might assume it is in the same area. Do you know how I might contact the Cemeterys there.? And or old newspaper searches in a library or records there?? Thank you so much for your time with this effort which has been stalled for years in regards to the above situation... Lenora Cherry courthouse?? Maybe they would have a record on him!!!!!??????
