I do have some of the information that you sent but didn't have any of the info on the indentures and orphans that were assigned to the various Gilmore men or the adopted child of Nancy Gilmore and Menoah Taylor. Now this really gives me something to think about! I did know of one 5 year old child that was noted as illegitimate that was assigned to Matthew Gilmore to learn the trade of blacksmithing. I was suprised that someone would take on a 5 year old to teach blacksmithing to (dangers of burns etc.) and I thought perhaps it was actually his own child. Thank you so much for the info! I am most appriciative and it will give me something to think over ! Matthew's brother James Gilmore at one time lived in Blount County! I hope Susy is checking this out too and maybe might help her with connections to her Anna Gilmore Teas. Thanks again !
