Lenora -- Can you give me any more information about this Sarah McAdoo? What is the date of the document Sarah is a name that appears in our family regularly. Of course, Sarah may be the wife of a McAdoo rather than a McAdoo herself. At any rate, there are several McAdoo lines in Kentucky. John McAdoo, Sr., "originally" of Botetourt County, VA, came to Barren County with his daughter, Martha Allen, and died there in 1801. He had several sons, and there is a lot of uncertainty about where they wound up. Also, several McAdoos out of the Pennsylvania lines moved into and out of Kentucky at various times. The Pennsylvania lines also includes one that "started" in Maryland. There also were descendants of Barnett McAdoo, my ancestor, who settled in Kentucky, although the one on which I have the most information is his daughter Rhoda McAdoo, who married William Taylor Malugin and lived in Calloway County, Kentucky. By the way, I put "" around "originally" and "started" because those are the first documents we have for these lines. Anyway, with a little more info, especially the date of the document, I may be able to be more informative.
