We have Elizabeth "Bettie" BROWN, b. 1803 to John Andrew BROWN and Martha "Patsy" GILBERT, marrying Archibald CATHEY, b. 1803. Elizabeth's niece, Susan E. "Sookie" BROWN, was born about 1839 to Joshua BROWN (Elizabeth's brother) and Mary HALL. Sookie married Archibald CATHEY's nephew, Arch CATHEY, born about 1836 to Joshua CATHEY and Lucy HALL. Other children born to John Andrew BROWN and Patsy GILBERT were: John Squire BROWN, b. 1801; Solomon BROWN, b. 1806; Alfred BROWN, b. 1809; and James Madison BROWN, b. 1813. Do you think that these BROWNS might be part of the family that you are researching? I have not found a connection, nor have I found out who John Andrew BROWN's parents were. I am hoping that someone else researching the BROWN family might have found connections to our BROWN family. Would love to hear from anyone researching any of these families.
