The pupils have advanced rapidly and all feel that this has been one of the most successful school ever taught Area. We are glad to see our people manifesting so much interest in educational matters and trust this is only the beginning. Page 27 - June 5, 1908 - . Dickson County Teachers' Institute - The Dickson County Teacher's Institute opened May 28 by Supt. R. E. Corlew at the Dickson College with very flattering prospects. Hon. S. E. Hunt was present and addressed the Institute after which work was assigned by the instructors in charge. Prof. T. B. Loggins gave instructions in Grammar, Reading, Spelling, Literature and Kern [ sic] Among County Schools. Supt. Corlew instructed in the subjects of Arithmetic, Histories and Geography. Hon. S. E. Hunt was present Monday and made an interesting talk on School Law which was very helpful to teachers. Some of the teachers who attended were Mrs. Belle Bryant, Misses Hattie Cunniff, Clara Donegan, Emma Luther, Lunora and Millie Moore, Dockie Shipp, Sallie Work, and Messrs. Archie Hood, A. F.
