I would like some assistance in finding information about the two subjects, Moses Anderson my 3rd great-grandfather and Samuel Thompson my 4th great-granduncle. Samuel's sister Sarah married Thomas Stroud on 1 Feb 1812 in Davidson Co., TN and their daughter Cassariller Stroud married Moses Anderson on 13 Sep 1827 in Dickson Co., TN. It has been reported that Samuel and Moses ran a military school in both Dickson and Davidson Counties before both of them relocated to Illinois at the end of the 1820s. Does anyone have any information about this school? Additionally, I am trying to trace Moses Anderson's steps. He was born on 11 Nov 1803 in Butler Co., KY. After the death of his parents circa 1817, he was taken to live with his father's uncle William to that part of Davidson Co., TN that is now Cheatham Co., TN. I realize that this is the mailing list for Dickson County but, since Moses eventually came to live in Dickson Co., there may be a history floating around somewhere there.
