The location of the river confirms what I had hoped-that it was close to the Dickson-Hickman Co. line! Its a long, convoluted genealogical story involving a Rev.War soldier, his statement that he had a son in Hickman Co., the lack of the son on the Hickman Co. census and the presence of a man who could be his son in Dickson. That man, the possible son, was James Bryan(t), who seems to have died after 1850. Another confirmed son of the Rev. War soldier may have then moved onto the land. I think the Rev. War soldier was just confused about where he was...thinking he was in Hickman when he was really in Dickson. Probably more information than you wanted to know, but there it is. Thanks again. Vicki
