It crosses the county line near the intesection of I-40 and State Route 48 . It continues its southward journey until it empties into the Duck River, a few miles west of Grinders Switch. Bear Creek flows from Dickson into Hickman County. It crosses the county line about halfway between State Routes 48 & 46. It flows mostly west, dropping south a very short distance. Bear Creek joins Plunders Creek about 4-6 miles after crossing the county line. Plunders Creek then joins the Piney River near Pinewood at SR48 in Hickman Co.
