I believe I am related to approximately 50 percent of the Dickson families. Two William Willeys came to Dickson Co ca 1803. Lt William Willey Rev War vet was married to Ann Dunnegan. Pvt William Willey, Rev war vet was married to Polly (surname unknown). It is believed they were uncle and nephew as Pvt William Willey's father was John. Definitely close related families and hard to get descendants sorted out.. Isaac Walker, Rev War vet married to Rhoda Greer also came to Dickson early 1800's. These families married into so many pioneer families. I could name about 20 families without looking at notes and that is only a start.. I am a direct descendant of Pvt William Willey and Isaac Walker , as well as William Stewart, Hiram Baker and Henry Clay Peebles.
