Caroline, I have a little history of a Major, FRANCIS LOGAN b 1734, in New York, d April 2, 1826, in Rutherford Co., NC. He married HANNAH TRIMBLE b 1733 in Augusta Co., VA, d March 24, 1805, Rutherford Co., NC. They married Nov. 30, 1761 in NC. My line comes from HANNAH TRIMBLE, not the LOGAN's, but as I glance through the history I do find a MARGARET (which is a very common name) mentioned a couple of times.
