Hi, Mollie, Me, too. I live in Tallahassee, Fl which is hot, hot, hot and damp, damp, damp. The very first time I recorded a cemetery was on a very hot damp July day some twenty five years ago. The cemetery was a very old one on private property and we (my friend Phyllis and I) were invited to record it. I borrowed my husband's snake leggings (which it turned out I put on upside down - I thought the little "knee thing" was for the feet) and we had a marvelous time. Thankfully there was no poison ivy (I can spot it a mile off) and we saw only one snake - he was so busy running away from us we figured he was a friendly snake. It's much easier in cool weather but you grab it when you can. You have me all excited about going out hunting another cemetery. Years ago my aunt and I visited the Johnson Family Cemetery where one of my ancestors is buried. Unfortunately, in my excitement I slammed the door on my hand and was in no shape to do anything but be happy I got there. Another kind lady recorded it since then. This is true, but when I go to Dickson I also go to the funeral homes and to the courthouse So we try to do the cemeteries when it is cooler... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Varick" <tallygators@earthlink.net> To: <TNDICKSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2001 11:43 AM Subject: Re: [TNDICKSO] Re: > Hi, Mollie, > > Me, too.
