Dear Deanna, My son, who is in college in New York City, sent me a short prayer that helped me some yesterday. "May the One who makes peace in the high heavens spread peace over us and over all humanity, Amen." Repeating that to myself yesterday helped -- some. My heart goes out to your friend and her family. My heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones and friends yesterday. My heart even goes out to the families of the people who are responsible for this, and I pray that the anger and hatred in the hearts of all so that nothing like this ever happens again. I have to admit, however, that my mind doesn't believe that last will happen.
