Received this update today from the Tn Announce List.. Thought it might interest someone.. The Tennessee and the Civil War Project now has online a Virtual Civil War Military Cemetery. As of this afternoon, there are over 400 pictures of Civil War Veterans' tombstones. I have another 200+ to fix and put online. The database includes photos of tombstone of TN Veterans from the following cemeteries: Chattanooga National Cemetery, Hamilton County TN Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery, Hamilton County TN Stones River National Cemetery, Rutherford County TN Knoxville National Cemetery, Knox County TN McGavock Confederate Cemetery, Williamson County TN Wilmington National Cemetery - North Carolina Resaca Confederate Cemetery - Georgia There are also photos from miscellaneous cemeteries in the following counties in TN Campbell Hamilton Putnam Sevier White (include General George Dibrell's and Champ Ferguson's graves) If you have pictures of a TN Civil War Veteran's tombstone and would like to submit to the database, there is a form online to do so.
