Hello! I was searching for info. on something else and came across an article in a book. It said on May 5, 1805 Michael and Jane Dickson deeded property on both sides of Yellow Creek 1/2 mile BELOW THE CHICKSAW TRACE to James Goodrich. The author of the book thought this location was approximately 6 to 7 miles up yellow creek from Wiley Warden's Store ( at the intersection of Highway 49 and Yellow Creek). I've come across scant exerpts of info. on the Chickasaw Trace Indian Trail like this before but never enough to figure out where it went. If this is right it must have crossed Yellow Creek somewhere between where Ruskin Cave and Skeeter's Market are today. I was hoping someone out there might have more info. on where it went from there?????? I wondered if it eventually turned into a street that is still here today? Wew!
