Abt 1880 in either Humphrey or Dickson Cty, Tenn. Married to Arey Dunnegan. Son was William H. Baker (I am told the H. stands for Haywood from family records). William H. married Virginia Caroline Pullen daughter of Nelson Bean Pullen. Pullen b. 1809 came from Va. to Dickson cty and married Sarah Jackson of Dickson. Some sources say Absolum Baker's father was John Armstrong Baker who was son of John Baker and Susannah Armstrong. John Baker was son of Absolum Baker b. 1723. This line goes back, according to One World Tree to about 1620 Maurice Baker in Va. I cannot verify this since my family records only go to William H. Baker, but our records says William Haywood was m. Virginia Pullen. Several sources on One World Tree says William Haywood Baker was m. Caroline Hudson. This is not correct it was Virginia Caroline Pullen. The census records show her as Virginia C. Baker for 1870,1880,1900, 1910 and 1920. She was living with her sons on the 1900-1920 census. I am inclined to think that the line is correct at least back to Absolum b 1723 since the name is repeated again for Absolum b. 1801 in Ga if I recall correctly. Also the name of Armstrong is repeated again as father of Absolum b. 1801 who was father of William Haywood Baker. William Haywood Baker and Virginia C. Pullen were my great grandparents on my mother's side. For what it is worth.
