Hi Mike, I attempted to send this to your private email, but it was returned. Please contact me at [email protected] Are you participating in the Walker DNA tests? I think we have talked before about the possibility of ours being the same family. I think we are, but proving it is going to be difficult. The 1850 census you found is my family, several other members were in Macoupin Co and by 1860 almost all of them were. The usual problems exist on where Archeblaus and Jacob were born, One census, 1850 Madison Co, states South Carolina, the 1860 Macoupin Co census says VA. My understanding of the migration pattern was VA > NC or SC > TN > IL with the possiblity of GA mentioned. We have Archelaus married to Susan Robinson in 1825 Madison Co., IL, probably a second wife because in 1830 there are 3 male children living with them between the ages of 10 - 15 We are still searching for any wills that will connect everyone together. Right now we have bits and pieces of the puzzle, some land documents, census records, marriage records. Let me know if you are interested in any of it and will send it along to you. This is the obit of Archelaus: Bunker Hill Union Gazette Dec 21, 1866 pg3 - Macoupin County, IL Name Archeleous Walker died Dec 11, 1866. Residence was West Prairie, Il. Aged 84 years. Born abt 1782 in VA. Came to this state abt 45 years ago. Died at West Prairie at the home of Daniel B. Sawyer. Cause of death was general debility. Cemetery was not listed. Notes: He was a native of VA., was raised in Georgia. Came to IL 45 years ago after having lived in Tennessee for many years. He outlived the majority of his family. Could this be the same A. Walker who is buried in Wayne cem. A Walker, Dec 17, 1783-Dec 12, 1866. I'm putting a lot of faith in the DNA testing showing some of the relationships. My great great uncle Walker just submitted his sample to the Walker DNA test about 2 months ago. Take care, Rayna Moore Rayna Moore
