You have much more information than I on the PARKERs. Since I don't think Levin DIXON and Hugh DICKSON were related, I haven't tried to work Levin's line to any extent. Just what I've found on the internet. I don't think the Maryland Will naming a Hugh DICKSON refers to our Hugh. Our guy appears as a young married male in Dickson County ca. 1803 signing the Petition that resulted in Dickson County being formed. He bought land on Dry Branch (a tributary of Yellow Creek in 1803) and that tract of land is intact and still in the family to this day. As best I can figure, our Hugh DICKSON came to this area from Greene or Jefferson Counties in East Tennessee. I'm almost certain he is related somehow to the DICKSON guys who came here from Duplin Co. NC but I haven't been able to find the connnection. Most people say he was the son of Joseph DICKSON and Jane MOLTON from Duplin Co. NC but he wasn't. Two different Hugh's. Levin doesn't appear connected to this group but who knows? Finally, the Dickson Co. deed records and wills I have did not come off the internet. I found them at the archives in Charlotte by looking at the original deed books and probate files. Linda "PARKER" is the Archivist for Dickson Co. You can find the telephone Number and address for the Dickson Co. Archives on the internet. *************************************************************************** This is an automatically-generated notice.
