    2. Tony Johnson
    3. Some more of my thought out loud LOL with some facts this time Okay Joseph Johnson of Archurs Hope owns lands that abut John Johnson of James City, in 1626 John Johnson Yeoman Owns Lands by Gabriel Holland "Ancient Planter" Going up into the Weyanoke Parish we find Capt. Joseph Johnson, Capt. Jesse Johnson who owned Lands in Weyanoke Parish 1630-1650 era as did Henry Rowen first husband of one Alice who re married one John Watson whose daughter Married one Michael Johnson who we are connected to by DNA testing. In the Weynoke Parish is also William Eaton, Col. William Byrd, Edward Oliver, Thomas Wheeler, We also know that John Johnson Planter and his brother in law Edward Travis own lands in 1620-1640 era that are in Weyanoke Parish as are lands owned by Rice Hoe (sometimes spelled howe) We also know that Capt. John Ward's lands of 1619 of Martin's Brandon are in the Weyanoke Parish. It appears his grandson one Edward Hatcher (2) in 1690 with Robert Burton are on Lands of Tuckahoe Creek. Edward Hatcher is also the Grandson of William Hatcher b 1613 in England and lands are on Swift Creek in what becomes Henirco Co. Va. The William Hatcher families include the Colonial families of Branch, Ward, Elam, Farmer, Burton, Stovall, all marrying their cousin's. We also know that in the Weyanoke Parish lands are owned by Capt. Joseph Johnson and Capt. Jesse Johnson We know that Edward Oliver is the Lines of Reverend Thomas Murrell who died in 1728 Dickson County Tn as did our Hudson Johnson a matching line to the descendants of Michael Johnson died 1718 on Tuckahoe Creek. We know that your Mother's lines My Aunt ( married to my dads brother) in Humphreys and Dickson County come off Wm. Byrd of Weyanokee Parish who is married to a Jenning's Lets go back up to John Johnson Yeoman and Edward Travis for a minutes: Edward Travis buys lands from Suzannah Chiles who is a widow in 1688 era. Capt. Joseph Johnson and Walter Chiles are partners with Rice Hoe and ? Walker in the discovery of new lands. Joseph Johnson is a repeating name in the descendants of Michael Johnson died 1718 on Tuckahoe Creek We also know that John Johnson Yeoman owns lands by Gabriel Holland whose family moves unto lands that will become Nansemond County Va. when it is formed. I did to check on the Connections of Michael Holland of St. Peters Parish and land owner of lands in St. Paul's Parish. I do know in 1666 Michael Holland was born to a John Holland in NANSEMOND CO. VA We also know that lands of the Weyanoke River which is most of the Area's of Weyanoke River will form into Midddlesex, Lancaster and Nansemond County. that is where we know, the lands of Thomas Wheeler, Henry Rowen and William Eaton will land up as they are on Mathews Creek of the Weyanoke River. We know the lands of John Johnson Planter and Edward Travis in 1652 will go into Surry County as did the lands of Edward Oliver whose daughter Elizabeth Oliver married Thomas Murrell who moved to Byrd Creek which is part of the Tuckahoe Creek Drainage. We also know that Walter Cocke who owns lands by these people in 1702 brings in a George Hooper to the Colonies. George Hooper is found later on Lands of Rockfish River beside the Cabell Families ( need to recheck this) But the Rockfish River is where the descendants of Terisha Johnston ( Len Henley Johnson of Humphreys County). Can be traced back to on his Terisha Turner side. Len Henley Johnson's side of the families off Lenoard Henley is living upon Byrd Creek as is Rev. Thomas Murrell's families. Lenoard Henley also ties back to Nicholas Henly ( I think he is from Nansemond Co. did to check) Almost Forgot the lines of Peter De Montague who owns lands off the Bennett Setllement, which becomes Middlesex County. Lancaster and Nansemond County, his daughter married a ? Johnson, The De Monatgue's are connected to LTC Richard Cocke married to Temperance Bayley) whose mother is Cecilly Reynolds. Peter De Montague is the Great grandfather of General George Washington. Whose families are on the areas of the Bennett settlement in 1620. We know that John Ward, John Martin and Edward Johnson ( Of Strawberry Banckes) are in the same census in 1624 Lands beyond the Hampton of Elizabeth City. John Ward and Edward Johnson ( Strawberry Banckes) are both in the living list of Indian Thickett in 1623 Back to Byrd Creek and its connecting Creek: We have numerous lines that come from there into Humphreys and Dickson Co. Tn. ( Matlock, Mayo, Hatcher, Wards, Burton, Branch) LOL WHERE HAVE WE SEEN THE ABOVE SURNAME BEFORE of Hooper, Wheeler, Turner, Jennings All I am doing is following travel Patterns of Reverend Thomas Murrell and some of our other lines that Come nto Humphreys and Dickson Co. I don't know when it was origionally done, but it was updated in the 1940's or 50's by an Erskine cousin. I do remember the name Isham was used alot, so I'm sure there is a possible Isham connection. I really with I could find out more about our origional Spencer/ Byrd connection. We also have McNabb's, Hamilton (family history, connected to Alexander Hamilton)-md a Claridge, Little's and Russells and of course Revell. We have 2 sets of Jones families. William Byrd and Children of Hannah Jennings or Hannah Grendon John Byrd son of William Byrd married Mary Wheeler Lewis S. byrd married Margaret Arey and Amanda Turner Maira Byrd married married Samuel Long Rand Byrd Sophia Byrd married James Hayes and rev. She married a "Lord" Spencer. That is all the info we have. No dates or anything. It was either their daughter or most likely granddaughter that married my (how many?? ) greatgrandfather- Isaac Jones. He married Elizabeth Spencer., I think she was born in NC. They lived in Union District, Union Village SC. I haven't been able to find that place. William Byrd. I am Looking for Clues in the travel Patterns off William Byrd of Weyanoke Parish, as he owns lands in area's that becomes Martin's Brandon Parish and to Westover Parish where he died. Westover Parish took over several Parish's in 1702, where there was Johnson families at. And Yes Joseph Johnson is a repeating name in the Off Spring of Michael Johnson who died 1718 on Tuckahoe Creek, who our Johnson DNA matched too. Thanks Tony
