Dear Bonnie, Yes, Silas is mention in the book but the only Leathers that I have is Harry Leathers. Silas is mention on Page 3 - Printed on January 4, 1883 - We are happy to learn that Silas Bruce, who has been very sick for the past two weeks, is convalescent. Page 4 - Printed on May 10, 1883 - An owl that measured 8 Y2 feet from tip to tip of wings was killed by Silas Bruce near the residence of Capt. Brown one day this week. Page 5 - Printed on August 30, 1883 - We are sorry to learn that Silas Bruce is confined to his bed with a cancer and that very little, if any, hopes are entertained of his recovery.
