In thumbing through my books though, I found the following. Tthe source is : Dickson Co Tenn. Newspaper Abstracts Volume Four (December 23, 1910 - March 31, 1911) by Laura Wills published by Simmons Historical Publications 1999 page 64 Friday March 24, 1911 newspaper has this notice: "Seth McFarland, who has been employed in Alabama for several months, is spending a few days here the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McFarland." In your original post (listed below)you said Robert McFarlands date of death could be between 1910 and 1918; well you can narrow it down by one more year, because from this we can see he was still alive March of 1911.
