    1. [TNDICKSO] sharing information
    2. Hi list, I'm another Sharon from ILLinois. My Father was from Dickson and I still have family there. Will be there in a couple of weeks, can't wait! My immediate family line is Gilmer, but also researching Martin, Lewis, Peeler, and Sullivan for now. Hope to find lots of information while I'm there. Just about everything I have found has been from info or clues from kind people on this list, since my family either does not know or everything is hush, hush! Thanks, SHARON GILMER DIXON

    3. Sharon, Were your Sullivans from TN or Sullivans somewhere else? If you know of an Elijah Sullivan, born abt. 1792 NC, died in Carroll Co. MS, I am very interested. Thanks, Dot

    3. I am Dot and have been on the list a couple of months or so?? Who knows---time flies when we are having fun. The names I am most interested in who lived in Dickson Co. in 1820 are: HADDEN and NESBITT. My mother was a Hadden and her great grandmother was a Nesbitt. There were some other names who married Haddens in Dickson Co. They are: CAMPBELL, HOWARD and WHITE. (I seem to "specialize" in fairly common names-----BROWN, ALEXANDER, DUNCAN, SHELTON, MITCHELL (2 branches), etc. but not all of those were from TN. Other counties in TN of great interest to me are Warren Co. where some of my MITCHELLs came from. Also Lincoln Co. where the DUNCANs and SHELTONs lived in 1820 and some stayed behind when others went to Marion Co. IL. I have only been to Tennessee one time---1993. Loved it and Kentucky both very much. I have not been to where my ancestors lived in either of those states. I didn't even know where some lived in 1993 and those that I did were sort of "on the back burner" then. I was born in the great state of TEXAS, lived much of my life in California and now have lived in Washington state---the wet side of the mountains, but gorgeous today---for over 20 years. If you know anything about any of my ancestors, I would be grateful if you share what you can about them. Dot
