However, I have a cousin who is very active in the Humphreys County Historical Society and she not only descends directly from the Turners but her maiden name was White. She is not on the computer but I will write her a letter and see if she knows anything about Anderson White. I will keep you posted. Best wishes, Susy Johnson

    2. Cunninghams - Thanks for the reunion info. Wish I could go! Maybe I could bring the famous Cunningham stew. According to The Cunningham Family by Bertie Gingles,John Cunningham was the first child of William and Nancy Carr Cunningham, and John was born in Albemarle County, VA in 1796, and married Mary Polly Gresham 2/19/1822 in Trigg County. Mary(Polly) was born 2/9/1803. (Nancy Carr was the daughter of Gideon Carr and Ann Hamner, but there's no record in the Cunningham book of Nancy's birthday. Nancy was also referred to as Elizabeth.) 3. Here is what I have on this family Descendants of Anderson England Generation No. 1 1. ANDERSON1 ENGLAND He married MARTHA REEVES. Child of ANDERSON ENGLAND and MARTHA REEVES is: 2. i. ANDREW J.2 ENGLAND. Generation No. 2 2. ANDREW J.2 ENGLAND (ANDERSON1) He married PHILIADELPHIA CORVLINA DUNCAN. She was born 30 January 1822, and died 26 August 1902. Child of ANDREW ENGLAND and PHILIADELPHIA DUNCAN is: 3. i. ANDREW JACKSON3 ENGLAND, b. 07 March 1858; d. November 1935. Generation No. 3 3. ANDREW JACKSON3 ENGLAND (ANDREW J.2, ANDERSON1) was born 07 March 1858, and died November 1935. He married MARY GENEVA HOOD 27 December 1884, daughter of JOHN HOOD and LOURIAN JACKSON. She was born 12 July 1868, and died 27 May 1936. Child of ANDREW ENGLAND and MARY HOOD is: i. LENA ALICE4 ENGLAND, b. 19 December 1897; d. 16 November 1978; m. JOSEPH L. PERNELL, 24 May 1913. Joe Matlock >>> glenho@bellsouth.net 06/02/01 06:24PM >>> Today at the Nashville Archives I found a Death Certificate for Andrew Jackson England. I will list below everything I copied: #23877 Andrew Jackson England b. Mar 17, 1859 died: Nov 9, 1935 Cheatham Co., Tn, White Bluff, dist. 5 Married - wife: Mary England died of pneumonia Last worked Jan. 1934 Father: ANDERSON ENGLAND Mother: PHILADELPHIA DUNAWAY, born TN Information given by: Elsie Bell of White Bluff. Buried: Taylor Cem (I think. - a little hard to make out) bur. Nov 10, 1935 Undertaker Dickson Fun. Co., Dickson, TN Ok, some of you knowledgable people - It looks like Philadelphia England was Anderson's wife, not daughter. She had children listed as being born before 1850. She was on the 1850 Dksn Census with Anderson England and his wife?, Elizabeth (Could this Elizabeth be his dau. She was 24 years younger than he was) So, was she married 1st to someone named Dunaway, or is this her maiden name and has anyone found a marriage date for Anderson and Philadelphia. Her dau. Tennesse A. was born 1847, Newton born 1850 so, they were not Anderson's but Andrew Jackson England was born 1859 and his death certificate definitely lists them as his parents. 3. This is what I have: Hanna Buchanan (Buck) Wall married Margaret Elizabeth Procter on 3 Nov 1867 in Dickson County TN. I have 14 children for them. That's got to be a record. One of those is John Heneson Wall (slightly different name from yours). He married Emma Jane Baggett (don't know when) and had 7 children. I have Luther, Nesbitt G., Otha, Era, Charlie, Eleanor, and Lilly Mae. No dates for any of them. I have another wife, Malinda Hampton and no children. That's not to say there weren't any. My Era, could be a mistake and it could be Elijah. These aren't directly my people, so I haven't followed it up. But it explains Margaret Proctor Wall. The only James Baggett I have is married into the Biter's. Sorry. On a similar subject, does anyone have the birth year for the Eleanor above? She's the grandmother of a friend of mine and Eleanor claims not to remember when she was born. My grandmother remembered her being one of the few people alive older than her and she was born in 1910. Any help?
