Hi Michael, I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.I have not checked my emails for a couple of days.I just wanted to say I am sorry for your loss.We know she is in the lords loving arms and no longer in any pain. This is a poem that maybe fits at this point in time. LOving Memories Your Gentle face and patient smile With sadness we recall You had a kindly word for each And died beloved by all The voice is mute and stilled the heart, That loved us well and true, Ah,bitter was the trial to part From one so good as you. You are not forgotten loved one Nor will you ever be, As long as life and memory last We will remember thee. We miss you now,Our hearts are sore, As time goes by we miss you more, Your loving smile, your gentle face, No one can fill your vacant place Author unknown I pray for you and yours every day and hope that God will get you threw this hard time. Love your cousin Staci >From: genebug7@webtv.net (Michael Brown) >Reply-To: TNDICKSO-L@rootsweb.com >To: TNDICKSO-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [TNDICKSO] Death Of A Saint !! >Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2001 15:41:03 -0700 (PDT) > > > >Nellie "Dimple" HARRINGTON-BROWN >was born 2JUL1920 in Bon Aqua, Hickman, >Tennessee, the daugher of Lawrence >Harbert HARRINGTON and Mollie BAKER. >She is a descendent of Drury HARRINGTON >and Mary MATTOX (MATTOCKS). > >As many friends, cousins, and fellow >genealogists from around the world were >asked to pray for her at precisely 10:00 A.M. >Pacific Time, today, she passed from this >life to the next, ready for her reward. > >Nellie "Dimple" died at 10:10 A.M. today >in Bakersfield, Kern, CA. > >Services are pending at Erickson & Brown >Funeral Home in Taft, Kern, CA. > >I want to personally thank all of you for >lifting up mama in your prayers and thoughts >today. Hi Mike, I had not heard of your mother's passing when I sent this to the list. I am so sorry for your loss but know that you will now have a special guardian angel looking out for you. I have had two very special ones (my mom and dad) for several years now and it gives me great comfort to know they are there to watch over me and my family. Hello Brenda, I have been looking at the Smith Co list archives. I'm sure there is a connection somewhere for us, just not sure where, probably in Halifax VA with Thomas and Michael Clardy. I have not done enough research yet to say anything for sure. I have not been in contact with either of the researchers that you mention. Do keep in touch.... Good luck, Nettye

Are you she Hudson is a middle name and not a maiden or previos marriage name. The reason I ask is there was an Aramenta Hudson who was the wife of JR (smuggler) Hudson. If u are interested I can tell you he is referred to as smuggler. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LAnde12781@aol.com> To: <TNDICKSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 07, 2001 9:19 PM Subject: [TNDICKSO] Re: Hudsons/ Mitchell > Dear Van... we had written a long time ago in regards to my query about my > grandmother Aramenta Hudson Hays that married William Robert Mitchell in > Dickson in 1856... Dennis F. Hudson married Martha Ann Southerland on 8 Sept 1861 in Dickson Co. TN. Martha was born 25 Aug 1842; died 12 June 1862; she is the daughter of Alexander Southerland and Julia Ann Wilkins. She died as a result of childbirth, the baby buried with her in the Wilkins family cemetery. This cemetery is almost totally destroyed and it took some searching to find it. Just off Hwy. 47 between Charlotte and White Bluff. Martha's stone is only 1 of 2 still in one piece and readable. From the depressions in the ground, there are probably several graves there. The daughter: Julie Bell Hudson, born 8 June 1862; died 11 June 1862. Another piece of your puzzle! Charlotte
Van, A very big welcome to the Dickson List..... and I would like to thank you for your Hudson- Yates on Rootsweb. Everyone on this lists knows that I had been looking for an Irene Hudson for about 2 yrs.. My ggrand father, William James (Billy) Brazzell's obituary was written by his niece Irene Hudson. Through Mr. Hudson's webpage I not only found my Irene Hudson Nash but also found my ggrandfather's sister, Berry Brazzell Hudson, wife of William Wyatt Hudson. Again Thanks to Mr. Hudson. WELCOME!!!! Faye Wilson Keele Searching: Wilson, Adams, Dugger, Baker, Turner, Brazzell and Choate

Dear Van... we had written a long time ago in regards to my query about my grandmother Aramenta Hudson Hays that married William Robert Mitchell in Dickson in 1856... We tried in vain to acertain why she used the middle named Hudson as did her brother... the other children of James w. Hays and Mary Bartee didnt seem to have that as a middle name. unless the census taker just got in a hurry and didnt include it....... Please keep my in mind if you ever find a connection.....the parents of William R. Mitchell were William W. Mitchell who married Arabella ( Norris?) also of TN. We are still working on these families but have never come across a Hudson connection though i know they lived in the area from the census......I also see a name that looks like MacAdoo or Mactee on a document I have .. if that is of any interest to you..... Lenora
Mike, You have my prayer at exactly 10:00pm. God is always with us. Pat Smith

Mike, My condolences to you. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one, especially a mother. Keep her memory alive in your heart, and she will never die, that's what genealogy is all about, right? Sharon
