Hi, I am searching for information on Margaret Lewis, b. 1813, TN. married James Jones , 1840. Does anyone have the marriage date on this family ? They are listed in the 1860, Dickson Co. Census. I would appreciate any information. Thanks Pat

Hey Everybody, Don't know how many of you will get a chance to read this, but I am going to make a trip to Nashville to take a few pictures at 2 different cemeteries.. I am going to The Old Nasville Cemetery and to the National Cemetery on Galatin Rd.. If you want a picture and you know what section and what lot I will be glad to take a picture for you.. I have a digital camera so it is no cost , just a pack of bateries and I have to get them anyway so I figured if I could help someone else I would.. Let me know if you can.. I will be making another trip , just don't know when.... Mollie ***Follow Me to Dickson, Tennessee***
Cher, I know you and Aunt Jean are going to have a wonderful time in your travels. I know that Mollie and the rest of us will do our best to keep the list going as strong as you have. Always remember where Home is. Janet L.
Have fun and relax. You'll have a lot of wonderful experiences traveling! Sharon
Hey Everybody, I knew this day was coming but didn't think it would be this soon... I want everyone to know that I love Cher, and consider her to be part of my family.. She needs this time for herself , and I am more than willing to be there for her.. Amd I want to reassure everyone that things are not going to change, Dickson is still " everybodies" web page and list , we still need any and all volunteers that are willing to help.. I hope to still have the look ups, I work so it may not be as many as Cher was able to have but I will give it my best..... Cher was right about my love for Dickson County, both my parents were born there and they are both buried there, Dickson County is where most of my family is buried and that is where the most of my family history is. So I think if we continue to work together we can keep the Dickson Web page a page that " Our Cher " will be proud of.. Mollie And I will always be Cher's MLA.. Cher, I haven't been on the list very long but I have really enjoyed reading everyone's messages regarding their Dickson county roots. I totally understand your situation as I lost my mother last year (and my dad 9 years ago). I am an only child and no matter what ( my husband, 4 grown kids, grandkids, friends, family) nobody takes the place of your parents.) It is a big adjustment and don't feel guilty about taking some time for yourself. I had to do that too. I had quit my job to take care of mom and there was such a void when she passed away. Also our first 2 grandkids were born within 2 weeks of her death, Samantha 6 days later and Kenneth 9 days after her. I went from adjusting to a family without "grandma", to being "grandma" myself. It isn't easy. The bottom line here is even though I haven't been real active on the list, I feel as though I know you and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Having some time to yourself and also having someone to talk things over with will help you to regroup and be ready to face the world again, sooner than you think. If you are ever around the Madison County, Illinois area, I'd be happy to show you around, just give me a call. If you're interested I'll send you my phone number! Lots of love, sharon Jones
Cher, I am fairly new to the list, just less than a year, but my heart goes out to you. You have truely had more than your share. I hope the traveling will help you to relax, and get back on your feet. You deserve all the time and enjoyment you can possibly find. Keep us posted on your progress. Dear Cher, You've had the roughest of times, and were an inspiration throughout! Now, you get out there and zing, girl! Just keep notes on everything for all of us, keep Shotzee near, and have a ball! I'm looking forward to being on your list of destinations, and will keep a "candle " burning! Dear Molly, What a lot of work you've done for us, and you've helped our beloved Cher, above and beyond the call of duty! Especially for such a "mean" assistant! Thank you for taking over so readily, and we know you'll give it your all. May our Heavenly Father bless both of you for serving us so willingly, joyfully, and completely. Karen
I didn't recieve Cher's message. Could it be posted again, please? Freida
